Anzac Day services and marches took place in Goulburn, Taralga, Yass, Wingecarribee and in many of the villages.

Goulburn MP Wendy Tuckerman said it is wonderful to see the local community commemorate Anzac Day this year in a responsible and safe way.

“Many of our Anzac Day events and services will be held across the Goulburn electorate with important guidelines to adhere to. These guidelines protect the health and safety of our community, our Australian Defence Force participants but particularly out Veterans,” said Mrs Tuckerman.

NSW Minister for Veterans, Geoff Lee said Anzac Day is a significant day of remembrance, stemming from the First World War and encompassing conflicts both past and present.

“It’s an opportunity for Veterans, current servicemen and servicewomen and the general public to come together and honour those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom,” Mr Lee said.
