Harmony Day 21 March is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home – from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world.
By participating in Harmony Day activities, we can learn and understand how all Australians from diverse backgrounds equally belong to this nation and enrich it.
Goulburn Multicultural Centre presents the cultural dance and BBQ each year, together with the local communities.
The groups performing this year include:
Goulburn Fillipino Community dancers, Indian dancer, Indonesian, Serbian and Nepalese dancers.
Goulburn is a very friendly and welcoming place and newer residents have said they wanted to show their appreciation and to give something back.
The result is a four-hour celebration and Harmony Day lunch in the park, involving the whole community.
Supported by the Goulburn Multicultural Centre, Goulburn Mulwaree Council, Rotary club of Goulburn, North McDonald, GRUB and the Goulburn community.
Everyone is welcome and it’s FREE!
