Goulburn is blest with plenty of markets supplying a wide range of goods for all tastes. Vendors selling plants, recycled goods, delicious homemade jams, chutneys and cakes, jewellery, candles, soaps and much more.
This last weekend St Saviours Cathedral and the Goulburn Baptist Church hosted markets and attracted much interest in the community.
I asked vendors and community members what they suggested as for gifts for Mum.
At St Saviours market vendors’ suggestions were:
• Hampers of homemade jams, chutneys and slices or a cosy pair of bed socks. (Margie from Margie’s Pantry)
• Scratchies or homemade cakes and slices (Marie)
• China trios of cup, saucer and plate, crystal items and homemade jewellery items (Judy)
At Goulburn Baptist Church market vendors’ suggestions were:
• Dried Flower arrangements (Dani from She Follows Floral Design)
• Handmade soaps and lip balms (Angie and Alyssa and from Rubii and the Dragonfly)
• Handmade hair ties and earrings (Naomi)
At Goulburn Square:
Carly said she would be giving her mum either candles or flowers.
Josie is giving her mum a cardigan.
The Lush Kiosk is selling a lot of candles to their customers for Mother’s Day gifts.
Next weekend you can find Mother’s Day gifts at:
• Parkside Community Markets on Montague Street, Goulburn on Saturday 8th May, from 8am to 2pm.
• Marulan Book Exchange on George Street, Marulan on Saturday 8th May, from 9am to 2pm.
