What: Come along to hear Mary Moody speak about her life and her most recent book, The Accidental Tour Guide. Part memoir, part travel adventure story, this book traces another major turning point in Mary’s life - reigniting her passion for living after the death of her beloved husband. In this talk Mary will touch on the serendipity of life – learning to let go and create a new, and very different, life after loss.
Mary Moody trained as a journalist with the Australian Women’s Weekly in the late 1960s. She is a passionate gardener and has used her journalistic skills to write and edit more than forty gardening books and magazines, and for ten years she was the NSW presenter on the ABC’s top rating show Gardening Australia. Mary has written four memoirs about her experiences as an Australian woman living part time in France, as well as a cookbook and several new gardening books.
