Last week it was announced that an additional $15 million was allocated to the Goulburn Hospital Redevelopment budget for the Goulburn electorate.
Wendy Tuckerman MP, Member for Goulburn announced that the funding will be used to purchase an MRI machine for Goulburn, as well as allow for the development of a Transitional Living – Brain Injury Unit, the purchase of a new sterilising unit, and new CT scanner.
In just over two weeks, over two thousand people signed the petition demonstrating the community support, so it was clear that Goulburn needs an MRI machine.
Ms Tuckerman said, “I thank the Minister for Health, the Hon Brad Hazzard MP for listening to our community. I am thrilled that this brings the redevelopment of Goulburn Base Hospital to $165 million.”
